Raw foods and healthy digestion

Raw foods and healthy digestion

Most health issues come from faulty digestion. If your digestion doesn't function properly, you'll suffer with obstipation, allergies, candida, ekzema, asthma, auto-immune-disorders and many more. Here's where digestive enzymes come in.

Our body is able to produce two different types of enzymes: digestive enzymes and metabolic enzymes. All the functions of the body that have nothing to do with digestion are managed by metabolic enzymes. Digestive enzymes are built up in the digestive tract and are only used to break down food.

The problem with these digestive enzymes is that we only have a limited number of them and can't go on living healthy without them.

Eating raw foods and the importance of food enzymes

A third category of enzymes, the food enzymes, is in raw foods since raw foods are living foods, that is the life energy is still in them. These very important enzymes help digest your foods. It's just this type of enzymes that's being destroyed when you're cooking your meals.

So if you're eating foods that are lacking food enzymes, your body will be forced to digest by using its (limited) number of digestive enzymes. The result is that your digestive system gets weaker and weaker and finally breaks down. You're constipated, suffer from bad fatigue and excessive fullness.

Solutions to digestive issues

The best solution is eating more raw foods to keep your digestive system healthy. And, if this isn't possible (sometimes you have to eat cooked meals!), take digestive support nutrients as for instance additional digestive enzymes or hydrochloric acid (HCl). If you don't know where to search for: Most of these additional enzymes have the ending -ase: maltase, lactase and so on. Others are called pepsin, chymotrypsin, pancreatin or trypsin.

Hydrochloric acid is produced by the stomach to digest proteins and fats. And if your intake of fats or proteins is too high, the production of hydrochloric acid in the stomach increases dramatically. The consequences: belching, bloating, fatigue after meals, excessive fullness and other annoying issues.

Since most people have an underactive stomach, their stomach is in need of hydrochloric acid. To solve this problem you should supplement with HCl. You simply take one or two capsules of betaine hydrochloride with your meal, that's all. Very positive by-effect: Additional digestive enzymes and HCl supplements are boosting  your energy to the top and are slowing down the age process of your body.

Another possibility is drinking one glass of apple cider vinegar in the morning.
