Body cleanse in just 14 days

Body cleanse in just 14 days

If you're really serious about cleansing your body, you'll need just 14 days to go through the whole detox process.

During this cleanse all the toxins, all kinds of chemicals, acids and superfluous fat that have been built up in the body cells over years are released and eliminated.

As a result, many health problems vanish, for example fatigue, irritability, fogginess and skin problems.

To get the best results out of your 14-day detox diet you should avoid drinking coffee. Take a cup of herbal tea or herbal coffee instead.

What to eat during your 14-day detox diet

During your 14-day detox diet you should eat plenty of fruits until noon.

Fruits and berries are high in benificial fibers and anti-oxidants. Fibers have a positive influence on the digestive system and anti-oxidants help inhibit cancer and flu.

In addition to that, fibers fights off hunger so that you no longer suffer with food cravings. And - very important for those of you who are addicted to chocolate and other sweets - the natural sugar in whole fruits replaces eating sweets as well without stressing your body with sugar highs and lows.

If you're a Type-II diabetes, don't worry either: You can combine some of the fruits (the lower glycemic fruits) with foods high in protein such as almond butter or peanut butter.

Having dinner or lunch being on a detox diet

Maybe you'll ask me now: What am I allowed to eat for dinner or lunch when I'm going through a 14-day detox diet?

The answer is very simple: You are allowed to eat all the foods you want.

The only advice you have to follow is that you aren't allowed to combine foods that need two different enzymes for their digestion such as a steak and potatoes. In this case you'll have to replace the potatoes by a green salad.

And don't forget drinking a lot of water during your cleanse!

If you change your eating habits and keep these dietary changes as part of your lifestyle, you'll be rewarded by long-lasting all-day energy, weight loss, increased mental clarity and a better health.

Lentil Salad   (one of my favourites)

This salad can be eaten as it is or stuffed into a pita.

1 can (19 oz., 540 ml) lentils (drained and rinsed), 4 oz. (125 g) low fat feta (crumbled), 1 red bell pepper (chopped), 2 green onions (thinly sliced),1 clove garlic (crushed), 2 Tbsp (30 ml) lemon juice, 1 Tbsp (15 ml) olive oil, 1/2 tsp (2 ml) dried thyme or fresh thyme, salt and pepper

Put lentils, pepper, cheese, garlic and onion in one bowl, lemon juice, thyme, salt, pepper and olive oil in another and pour the dressing over the lentils.
